He grinned darkly. "Well then, I suppose there's no sense in killing you, if it's hard to get a hold of one these days." he said. "Torture would be pointless as well, so that's only leaving me with two options."
Two options? Make her soul disintegrate and what? Ripping her eyes out? What the hell is he talking about?

"As Teloren knows, if I can't kill or torture them, usually I'll just steal their soul, make it... ashen, you could say. Or.."
What worse could you possibly do?
"You become a guard. You will not have the freedom of leaving, going back to where you were from, etc, etc. You would be closely watched." he said. "Always."
Well that's... not like him. What's he up to?

"Well.. to start, I'm not too pleased with these options, but.. its better then dying on the spot. Just.. hold on." she turned away and looked up. Would Aru II want this? Would she survive without me? Would the forest be safe? So many questions.. but... I know I might regret this but.. "I chose to be a guard of the kingdom." she said at last, as she turned back to face him. "And I can promise you that I won't leave." she finished.

He laughed curtly. "Very well then. Welcome to the Night Realm." He turned his back to both of them and vanished quickly back up the stairs.
Teloren blinked for a moment. "Something is very wrong." he looked around the scenery for a moment. Then he spotted behind a pillar a small piece of visible cloak. He smirked and rolled his eyes. "Oh dear, I wonder where Amaria could be?"
"I'm sorry!" the locks of her dark hair fell as she revealed her face. "I had to listen. I had to hear what father planned to do."
"You probably would have heard all about it later." he made a gesture with his finger. "Come on, Amaria. Father's gone now."
Amaria checked the scene once more and then rushed over to them. She immediately embraced. Lazuri. "I'm glad he didn't kill you, or take your soul."

She laughed quietly. "By the way Teloren sounded, when we were coming here, I sure thought I was about to die. Buuut... it went better then I thought."

Amaria smiled. "So what--" She never finished her sentence.
"Business would you have, welcoming in strangers?" a voice said behind them, its face grinning.

"And what business would you have, interrupting a conversation?" Teloren growled.
"Beindir!" Amaria exclaimed, running to embrace him. "You're back!"
The elf laughed. "Yes, in the flesh, and not wounded any slightly." he embraced her gently back. "Amaria." Then he glanced over to Teloren. "Teloren."
Teloren rolled his eyes, but smirked after.
Beindir set his gaze upon Lazuri. "And you would be..."

The wolf that stood beside her turned around and barked.

Beindir offered a hand in greeting. "Beindir. I'm their elder brother."
Teloren muttered something inaudible and glum.
"Come on Teloren, you know you're pleased to see me as well."
Teloren exhaled sharply. "Ya, as much excited as I'd be to see mouse scuttling in a corner."
Beindir grinned mischievously and immediately put Teloren into a headlock.
Teloren struggled and took a few blows to his gut. "What the hell is this for?"
Amaria couldn't help but giggle.

Lazuri crossed her arms and laughed quietly.
The wolf ran towards the two, and began licking Teloren's face, again.

"Come on, little brother, don't start complaining now..." he released the headlock but got ahold of his arm and pinned it to his back.
Teloren shook his head to get the spit off of his face. "This is just great..."
"Come on, Teloren, get him back!!" she laughed.

When Beindir released him, Teloren was out of breath, but he tried to hide it.
"Oh by the way, Kalina was looking for you." Beindir cracked his knuckles.
Teloren glanced upwards. "She was?"
"She wanted to thank you for something... she didn't tell me what for."
Amaria looked towards Teloren. "You took my advice?"
Teloren narrowed his eyes. "Maybe."

"Trying to get away from us now, are ya, brother?" Beindir smirked. He ran his fingers through his shiny brown hair.
Teloren shot an icy glance towards him.

Teloren led her out of that hall and down another. After a period of silence, he spoke again. "I'm sorry about my brother." he pressed his fingers to his forehead. "He... really loves to bother me. And I hate it when he calls me his little brother. I'm not that much younger than he is."
